Turbulent boundary layers with pressure gradient
This
research program has two components with the common and long-term
objective of a better understanding of turbulent boundary layers, and
in particular those subjected to a pressure gradient.
Hydraulic turbines - Hydropower Innovation Center (Heki)
As part of the activities of the Hydraulic Machinery Consortium, the Hydropower Innovation Center (Heki) seeks to improve the design of hydraulic turbines by developing our knowledge of the flow and vibrations in such machines. To do this, we use a two-fold approach, combining experimental measurements on reduced models with numerical simulations.

Flow through aortic valves
As
part of a large multidisciplinary research program (biomedical,
mechanical design, fluid mechanics), we study in detail, in a
bioreactor, the flow through tissue-engineered valves.
